Our Story

We need to stand together as one for the sake of the planet and humanity. The models of today are not serving our interests, instead they are aiding an accelerating decline of society and the planet.

Standing together starts with individual actions that collectively result in change.

At Folk & Flask we believe that there are better ways of doing business that put the planet and its people first.

What we do

Community is powerful and we recognise that simple acts can spark seismic changes, bringing people together is the starting point for building communities and sharing a coffee is the simple act that enables this.

Coffee is more than just a drink, coffee is an invitation to meet, share stories and ideas and create lasting connections. So we source and sell great coffee, not only to bring joy and inspiration to people, but to create connections.

Our business model is a little different than the traditional one; we invest in communities and the planet, meaning when you buy coffee from us you are helping to do good things.

Each time you make a purpose from Folk & Flask we fund the planting of a tree and a percentage of our profit is allocated for investment in a wide range of community causes.

Why not invest all your profits?

We considered investing 100% of our profit back into the community, but recognised that there are things outside of our control and so decided that we needed to build a surplus to ensure the business would remain viable in the face of unexpected circumstances.

Taking this approach means that if we hit an unexpected bump in the road we can continue to meet our obligations to our customers, colleagues and suppliers.

We are at the start of our journey and hope to improve as we go.
